Supports Education in Rural India
Since 2006, Thamarai Educational Projects have provided educational services in marginalised villages next to the international township of Auroville in Tamil Nadu, India. Our current projects support children from these villages, through after-school projects for around 90 children. In addition, regular health care and well-being programs are provided at local schools and at work units/villages centres for adults with a vision to promote conscious living.
About us
We believe in Human Unity
We work on providing education, sports, health care and leadership programs to people in villages around Auroville so that they can strive towards their full potential and be change-makers for the well-being of their community and the wider world.

After Schools
Homework support is a daily feature of our programs but is supplemented with sports, arts, cultural activities and themed core subject classes, language and digital literacy in two villages surrounding Auroville.

Health and Well-Being
Thamarai’s Health and Well-being service integrates natural health care, leadership and family support services such as addiction rehabilitation programs.

Leadership Programs
Through the Stewardship for New Emergence leadership programs, children, youth and adults are supported to source their inner potential and to see themselves as agents of change in their lives and communities.
